Ggn cops, HUDA employees squabble over house allotment

Update: 2016-05-10 23:59 GMT
A fight broke out between the officials of Gurgaon Police and HUDA employees over a house that was allotted to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Gurgaon. The house that was being fought over belonged to the government of Haryana. According to the sources, the house built in the civil housing colony in Sector 15 was at first allotted to Bijender Malik, the Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of HUDA.

According to the information received from the district administration, a letter dated on May 2, 2016 was written by Deputy Commissioner T L Satyaprakash, stating that house number 5 in the civil housing colony has been allotted to Y Puran Kumar, Joint Commissioner of Police. As soon as the HUDA administration got to know about this letter, they immediately wrote a letter to Satyaparash, informing him that this house was first allotted to Bijender Malik, SDO, HUDA in 2013. HUDA administrators revealed that since their letter to Satyaprakash was written on May 6, and since then the city has been shut due to some holiday, the letter never reached the Deputy Commissioner.

Unaware of any such misunderstanding, the joint commissioner on Monday started shifting his logistics to the allotted house, which was at first allotted to SDO HUDA. As soon as this information reached HUDA administration, some 20-25 HUDA employees gathered at the allotted house to stop the joint commissioner from shifting into the quarter. This led to a fight between the two parties which was later stopped.

The officials from the district administration said that the case will be discussed between the Deputy Commissioner, Police Commissioner and HUDA administrator, after which any further decision will be taken.

Bijender Malik, SDO of HUDA, also revealed that there was a board with his name outside the house, which was broken and thrown away by the Joint Commissioner, Gurgaon.
