The 7th edition of the CMS Vatavaran Environment and Wildlife Film Festival and Forum will be at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA) Lawns. The environment and wildlife film festival and forum was earlier scheduled to be held in December this year.
The five-day festival will have a completely new format with film screenings, thematic sessions with expert talks and forums, musical events, organic food and an organic bazaar.
With participation from over one lakh eminent filmmakers, environmentalists, experts, organisations, green innovators, students, young professionals among others, the planning for CMS
Vatavaran 2014 is expected to be on a grand scale this time. In 2013, CMS Vatavaran is also celebrating the completion of its 10 years long journey. To mark this occasion Schools, colleges, universities in Delhi-NCR are hosting special screenings of award winning films of CMS Vatavaran as part of the celebrations.
CMS Vatavaran is India’s only International Environment & Wildlife Film Festival and Forum organised as initiative of Centre for Media Studies, New Delhi. This is not just a film festival celebrating the cinematic art of films but focuses more on using the films as a tool and catalyst for creating impact. The festival has an International recognition and till date 39 festivals have been organised in 26 cities throughout the country.
