The contest, which opened on 28 August, promises to provide a huge opportunity for budding photographers in India to click photographs and win a chance for their work to be recognized, displayed, and rewarded with exciting prizes. The contest will run till 10 November this year.
This year’s contest theme is Bliss - a feeling that means heavenly joy and needs a strong medium like photography to be expressed. The entries can be submitted in the form of portraiture, candid shots, shots of street life, culture, nature, landscapes, wildlife etc. IndiaKliks offers unique global exposure to entrants through this contest in the form of their work being displayed at exhibitions, publication and also sale of select works. Speakers from diverse photography backgrounds will share their techniques and experiences.
The jury comprises of top names like Ashima Narain, Enjo Mathew, Neeta Shankar, Subir Basak, Sudhir Shivaram and Kirat Sodhi. A three-day symposium will be scheduled from 14 to 16 February 2014 in New Delhi and will have workshops, photo talks, portfolio reviews and panel discussions by eminent photographers.
