The Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA) has decided to take action against the builders who have not submitted the ‘declaration form’ as directed by the Supreme Court. The authority has directed its master plan department to look into the matter and initiate proper action against the defaulters.
As per the SC guidelines, the builder has to declare area of the entire plot, number of flats passed by the concerned authority, date of completion of the project, date of possession and other information regarding the project. The SC’s guidelines had come after reports of developers of making changes in the project after its declaration.
“Only 95 builders out of 275 registered builders have deposited their forms till date and majority violating order of the apex court. In case the builder fails to submit the form, the concerned authority has the right to cancel the project,” said RP Pandey, OSD of GDA.
