Gayatri Pariwar head Pandya nominated to RS

Pranav Pandya, head of All World Gayatri Pariwar, was on Wednesday nominated to Rajya Sabha by the Modi government. President Pranab Mukherjee nominated 65-year-old Pandya to the Upper House following a recommendation of the central government, a Home Ministry spokesperson said. Pandya is the 7th person nominated by the Modi government to the Rajya Sabha. Mumbai-born Pandya, an MD in Medicine, is Director and head of the All World Gayatri Pariwar (AWGP).  AWGP is claimed to be a modern adoption of the age-old wisdom of Vedic Rishis who practiced and propagated the philosophy of Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam with its headquarters in Haridwar.
