Gang of 12 attack private restaurant in Dilshad Garden

After a recent incident in east Delhi, people are not finding it safe to go for dinner with their families. Instead of the tasty dinner outside, they are ready to eat daal, roti, sabzi of their home only.

In a recent incident, a local gang of about 12 dozen people attacked Rasoi restaurant in Dilshad Garden area on the late evening of Wednesday. During the attack by the miscreants, there were many families who were taking dinner in the restaurant.

The owner of the restaurant told police that Dinesh Pahlwaan, a well-known gunda of the area, entered the restaurant along with dozen members of his gang who were having hockey sticks and baseball bat with them. They started beating up the customers and had also broken the furniture as well.

When the staff intervene, they open fired from the pistols that they were carrying. They have attacked the owner also. Later when a cop who was passing from outside the restro, noticed the fight and went inside to sort out the matter. But the gang members have brutally beaten the policeman with the sticks and base bat.

‘Further, they managed to escape when they realized that few more cops might come on the crime scene. All the injured persons were taken to the nearby GTB hospital. The policeman was the one who suffered with maximum injuries. His head was wounded and got 12 stitches over it. Multiple fractures were also noticed on his body,’ the official added.

Earlier on 22 October, Dinesh had come into the restaurant and took the dinner. He wished to escape without paying the bill. When the owner had a heated argument with him, Dinesh has allegedly threatened him for life. Later, a complaint was also lodged about this incident but no action was taken.
