After carrying out an exhaustive survey in colleges on the four year undergraduate programme (FYUP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad (ABVP) submitted a memorandum to vice-chancellor Dinesh Singh on Tuesday.

Rohit Chahal, state secretary of ABVP said, ‘We have carried out a survey on it. The common students of our university are extremely worried about their day-to-day studies and their future as things still stand uncertain on many counts. It was extremely disturbing and insensitive on the part of the university administration to have this programme implemented in such haste and by not taking into account the problems of students.’

Aman Awana, DUSU president, said, ‘The FYUP requires an additional one year of study which will add to the financial burden of at least Rs 1.5 lakh on every student of the programme.’
