The Delhi police have arrested four people who were involved in the trespassing incident that took place at the farmhouse in 42 Central Drive in DLF. The incident took place on Saturday between 11 am to 11.30 am when Ponty’s men attacked Hardeep’s farmhouse.
The arrested have been identified as Udayraj Singh alias Anna, 44, personal security officer (PSO) of Ponty Chadha’s son; Rajpal, 36, PSO of Ponty Chadha’s daughter; Bhupinder Singh Bist, 60, protocol manager, and Anand Singh Bist, 37, a driver.
According to police, the quartet were among a group of 30-40 people who entered the farmhouse in Chhattarpur on Saturday morning, beat up Hardeep’s men, snatched their mobile phones, fired in the air and threw them out.
All of them have been booked under several sections, 307 (attempt to murder), 452 (trespassing with the intent to cause hurt or wrongful restraint),342 (Punishment for wrongful Confinement), 368 (Wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement, kidnapped or abducted person),395 (Punishment for dacoity), 397 (Robbery, or dacoity, with attempt to cause death or grievous hurt), 34 (Acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention), 120b (Punishment of criminal conspiracy) of the Indian Penal Code.
Police have registered three FIRs in the scuffle and shoot-out that took place between the Chadha brothers’ men Saturday at south Delhi’s Chhattarpur farmhouse No. 42 and at G-19 Bijwasan farmhouse.
‘Two FIRs have been registered in the Chhattarpur shoot-out incident while the third FIR has been registered in the scuffle that took place at the Bijwasan farmhouse,’ said Vivek Gogia, Joint Commissioner of Police.
The total number of arrests has now gone up to six. Two other employees of Ponty Chadha – Madan Rana and Vijay alias Malik – were arrested on Monday in connection with the Bijwasan farmhouse scuffle.
A bloody gun battle Saturday left Ponty Chadha and his estranged brother Hardeep dead. It came within hours of another clash between the aides of the two brothers.
Gogia said the two separate scuffles were reported Saturday from both the farmhouses at the same time around 11 am.
‘No one received injuries in the scuffle at Bijwasan farmhouse where there was no report of firing. However, at the Chhattarpur farmhouse, the liquor baron’s men had allegedly tried to evict Hardeep’s staff after firing there,’ said Gogia.
