Four persons, allegedly associated with the Parveen interstate gang of carlifters, have been arrested and a car they had robbed about a week ago from west Delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area has been recovered, police said on Tuesday.
Sudhir alias Sarkari, Pardeep alias Goonga, Mandeep alias Monu and Surender alias Sittu, all residents of Jhajjar district of Haryana and in their early 20s, were arrested from Mundka Metro station parking when they came to dispose off the looted vechile, said V Renganathan, deputy commissioner (west district).
The accused are members of Parveen gang of interstate robbers who used to loot luxury cars from Delhi-NCR area.
‘They had also provided logistic support to Parveen after he escaped from police custody in Tis Hazari Court Complex on 19 October, Renganathan said.
The accused used to operate in Delhi, Haryana and UP and after committing robberies they used to go to different states in order to escape police scanner.
‘With their arrest, three cases of robbery/car-jacking have been solved and one robbed Mahindra-Xylo car was recovered,’ the official said.
