Four, including advocate booked for fraud

With the arrest of four persons, including an advocate practising at Karkardooma Court, Delhi Police on Tuesday, claimed to have busted a gang, which used fake stamps and signatures to fraudulently obtain OBC certificates for their customers.

The accused have been identified as Mukesh Dixit, Dharam Pal, Bhopal and Rajkumar Sharma (advocate). All of them are in the age group of 30-50 years. “The four suspects were nabbed following a tip off from shop number – F-1/1, Sunder Nagri. They were found using fake stamps and signatures on the application forms for obtaining OBC certificates on April 22. This shop is owned by advocate Raj Kumar,” said DCP (North-east) Veenu Bansal.

A total of six fake stamps being used for the purpose and 15 application forms for obtaining OBC certificates were recovered from the possession of alleged persons. The fake stamps recovered were of various senior offices like Principal, Govt Boys Senior Sec School, Seema Puri, Oath Commissioner, Notary Public, Executive Magistrate (Tehsildar), Preet Vihar. During probe, it was revealed that the accused Mukesh has studied till standard 10; Bhopal till 12th standard. However, Dharam Pal and Rajkumar have studied BCom and LLB respectively.
