A 16-year-old boy was allegedly tortured by a group of five youth over riding a scooty in the Inderpuri area of South-west Delhi on Sunday. Two days later, the boy tried to end his life but stopped himself and went back home and narrated everything to his family who approached the local police after which four of the accused were arrested. They have been identified as Sumit, Aman, Raju and Shankar.
According to police sources, the 16-year-old boy got into a heated argument with the five youth over riding a scooty in the area. The five accused tied his hands and legs, removed his clothes and thrashed him brutally.
They also allegedly paraded him in the area. They allegedly also put beer bottles inside his private
parts along with chilli powder and also made a video of the entire incident which they threatened to upload on social media if the boy revealed about the incident to anyone.
In a state of shock, the 16-year old went to railway tracks near his house on Tuesday to commit suicide. However, unable to do so, he went back home and told his family who then further approached the Inderpuri police station.
Sources said that out of the five accused, four have been arrested. Police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC and search operations are on to nab the fifth accused.
