Former Congress MLA from Model Town in northwest Delhi, Kanwar Karan Singh, has been booked for assaulting a woman with intent to outrage her modesty and criminal intimidation.
According to a complaint filed by the victim, the former MLA and one of his friends had allegedly torn her clothes and then intimidated her with a knife, when she went to ask for the month’s rent. Kanwar Karan Singh lives as a tenant in the house owned by the complainant at Rajpura in northwest Delhi. The complainant further added that Singh had also threatened to kill her son if she asked for rent again.
‘Both Karan Singh and his friend have been booked under section 354 and section 506 of IPC, informed police.
