In a miraculous escape, Delhi police saved a middle-aged woman from suicide on Friday evening. Mahima Bhandari, 46, had jumped off her third floor of her house in west delhi’s Punjabi Bagh area, following a spat with her husband, Deepak Bhandari. But the cops had spread a blanket below and managed to have her land safely, deftly saving her life.
‘On Friday, Deepak, a property dealer living in Sainik Farms area, had gone to Punjabi Bagh to talk to Mahima. However, she was not ready to have a conversation with her husband and refused to open the main gate,’ a police officer said. Due to the commotion, neighbour informed police. Soon, a PCR van staff and local police reached at the spot, and saved Mahima when she jumped off her balcony in a fit of rage.
