Fog delays 48 trains in city

It was chilly and foggy Sunday morning in Delhi, that led to 48 trains being delayed due to poor visibility. The Met Office has forecast a cloudy day ahead with thick fog in the evening. The minimum temperature was 6.4 degrees Celsius, two notches below the season`s average.

“Trains such as North-east Express, Taj Express and Mahabodhi Express are running late due to the thick fog that has caused poor visibility,” said an statement from the Northern Railway. “The departure of 9 trains were also rescheduled from Delhi due to fog,” added the statement. According to the Met department, Delhi will see a cloudy day ahead with fog in the evening. “The maximum temperature of the day is likely to hover around 18 degrees Celsius.
