A five-year-old student was kidnapped in broad daylight by unidentified bike-borne assailants in Rabupura area of Greater Noida on Monday. The police said the girl was on her way to school when she was kidnapped. She was a student of a local private school.
Iliyas Ahmad, father of the girl, has lodged a case of kidnapping against the unidentified criminals in Rabupura police station. According to the complaint, she was going to school in the morning when two bike borne criminals picked her up. The locals raised an alarm but the kidnappers managed to flee the spot with the girl.
The family members along with a large number of villagers reached the police station and protested against the abduction of the child. They demanded swift and quick action. Police personnel pacified the agitated protesters and promised speedy action to recover the girl.
Arvind Kumar, DSP Jewar, said a case of kidnapping has been lodged against the unidentified assailants. ‘We have questioned the eyewitnesses and the family members. We have also formed a police team and pressed them to action in the nearby areas,’ said Kumar. The police also added that the child’s family has not named any suspect in this case.
