In a sad incident, a five-year-old girl died after falling off a swing at a park in west Delhi’s Moti Nagar area of Thursday.
According to the police, Reena was playing on a swing in a park on Thursday evening when she fell from it and suffered a head injury. The girl was rushed to nearby hospital where she was declared
brought dead.
The deceased’s mother, Mamta works as domestic help and was at work during the time of the incident.
Meanwhile, the North MCD has ordered an inquiry into the incident when the matter came to light on Friday.
North MCD’s commissioner Praveen Gupta also suspended deputy director, assistant director, section officer, and gardener of the Karol Bagh zone, under which the area falls. He also directed all departments to inspect playing apparatus in parks and school immediately. RWAs have also been asked to complain to the local body if they notice any faulty equipment.
