The first national e-assembly training centre is likely to be set up in Tapovan near here.
The centre will impart training to legislators and staff members of legislative assemblies in the country, Himachal Pradesh Assembly Speaker BBL Butail said on Sunday.
“There is a proposal for setting up e-assembly training centre here, which shall provide training to all MLAs and staff members of assemblies in the country. A delegation under the leadership of the Parliamentary Affairs Ministry secretary recently visited the area,” Butail said.
Butail said Himachal Pradesh Assembly is being praised for being the first paperless electronic assembly in the country. He said that the state assembly is now trying to provide earphone facilities to officers and press benches in the assembly. The winter season of the Himachal Pradesh assembly will be held from November 30 to December 4 in Dharamsala.
