FIR registered against ‘stung’ Kuswaha

The police have registered a First Information Report against former Bihar minister Awadhesh Prasad Kushwaha in connection with a sting video that allegedly showed him accepting <g data-gr-id="12" data-style="color: #3b3b3b; font-size: 11px;">bribe</g>.

“An FIR has been registered against Awdesh Prasad Kushwaha with Sachivalaya police station last night,” Senior Superintendent of Police, Patna, Vikash Vaibhav said on Tuesday.

The First Information Report (FIR) was registered on the basis of the report of Executive Magistrate, Rajiv Mohan Sahay. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Sachivalaya, Ashok Kumar Chaudhary, has been entrusted with <g data-gr-id="13">investigation</g> in the case, said Vaibhav.

The FIR has been registered under Indian Penal Code sections 171 (C) which relates to undue influence at elections, 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by public servant) and 420 (cheating).
