An FIR has been registered against 257 people, including Anant Vikram Singh, the son of Congress MP Sanjay

Singh, in connection with the killing of a constable in a clash.

‘An FIR has been registered against 257 people including 250 unidentified ones in connection with yesterday’s clash at Amethi police station,’ district magistrate Jagatraj Tiwari told reporters here.

Holding Anant Vikram responsible for the clash between his supporters and the police, the DM said he
(Vikram) incited people by sending them messages to gather at the spot.

45-year-old constable Vijay Mishra was yesterday killed and six persons were injured in a clash between police and Anant Vikram’s supporters here, who had gathered outside ‘Bhoopati Bhawan’, Sanjay Singh’s ancestral house, to prevent his (Sanjay’s) entry inside it. Anant Vikram occupies the residence with his mother and Sanjay Singh’s first wife, Garima.

Sanjay Singh and his second wife Amita are locked in a dispute over the ancestral house with Anant Vikram and Garima.

Apart from Anant Vikram Singh, those named in the FIR include his supporters Vijay Pratap Singh, Chintu Kumar, Sanjay, Awadhesh, Binnu, and Sunil, Tiwari said.
