FIR against OASIS for occupying land illegally

After about three months of protest by farmers’ union, Greater Noida police registered FIR against OASIS builder group for illegally occupying a farmer’s land. A case of attempt to murder, section 307, has also been registered against unknown employees of the company.

‘The police had earlier promised the action against the builder but turned up harassing the victim,’ said Dhirender Kumar, farmers’ leader in Greater Noida. The case dates back on 30 August when a Rameshwar Dayal (95) of village Rabupura informed the police that the builder destroyed his maize crop in two three agriculture plots and started illegal construction there. According to the complaint when the farmer and his relatives went to stop the construction, the around 20-25 persons chased them and opened fire. 

On protest of farmers at Jewar police station the deputy superintendent of police Arvind Kumar promised mediated between them and builder agreed to free the land but restarted the construction. 
On 17 November the police registered FIR against the farmer under trivial sections for blocking the construction. This infuriated the farmers and they called a Mahapanchayat which led to massive protest at police station forcing the police to register FIR against the builder.
