The tribal craftsmen and women have been showcasing exquisite handicraft and handloom items including Baag, Maheswari, Chaderi, Banarasi, Sambalpuri sarees and much more, to the delight of Delhiites. This has proved beneficial for tribal artisans, who have done the business of Rs 16 crores during the 15-day long event, which includes orders from various organisations including TRIFED.
As per the theme of the festival, Delhites truly enjoyed the celebration of the spirit of tribal culture, cuisine, and commerce. A special feature of the festival was Tribal Indian cuisine, recreated and presented in delectable forms to suit urban tastes by special tribal chefs.
An attractive stage was raised at the venue to showcase tribal music and dance every evening from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. In line with the national aspiration to go cashless, the tribal merchandise stall accepted payment through credit/debit cards.
