The evening of February 5 will see enthusiasm and excitement amongst the crowd as renowned artists from across the world will perform traditional Kathak dance on poetry, Sufi Ghazals, and Zikirs. The highlight performance of 'Noor – A Divine Grace', which will be given by senior Kathak dancer Guru Rani Khanam and her disciples, is all about the expression of mystical poetry from Sufism/Zikir (Assam), Hamd, Mankabad, Rehas, and more. Organised by AAMAD Kathak Dance Center, the event will be held at Stein auditorium, India Habitat Centre, 7 pm.

Mystic poetry that will be performed during the event is 'Bismillah' (Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim, which means 'In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the merciful). This will be followed by a popular Zikir song.

The list of performances also includes a Kalam – Allah Hu Allah Hu Allah Hu, which is a traditional Sufi chant (Dhikr) consisting of the word for God (Allāh) run together three times. A performance on 'Yaar Ko Hamne Jab Azan Dekha' will also be worth witnessing. Another Kathak classical dance, which attained new heights of popularity and glory under the last Nawab of Awadh Wajid Ali Shah is Rehas. The Lucknow style of Kathak dance is characterised by graceful movements, elegance, and poise. A performance on Ghazal, which is viewed in a spiritual context, will complete the magical evening.

Talking about 'Noor – A Divine Grace', Guru Rani Khanam said, "Performing on Sufi Qalam and Bhakti songs give a sense of connecting directly with the Almighty in the quest for personal enlightenment and self-realisation, surpassing any religion and their rituals. The artists who perform that will definitely highlight the shades of Sufi music and poetry through the language of body, which blissfully expresses the depth of spirituality."
