Lounge AND Bar at Eros Hotel, epitome of luxury and style, has been hosting their guests to extravagant evenings with the best of liquor and some lip smacking finger food. After having undergone rejuvenation recently, the interiors radiate an old world charm, with the paintings, furnishing and the stunning wine cabinet, from which patrons may select their choice of drink.
Plonking in the glorious chairs, lay your head back to the jazz in the background and savour the brilliant single malt or wine, as per your wish. Those fond of smoking may be pleased to behold the cigar cabinet, stuffed with luxury brand of cigars maintained under temperature.
Lounge AND Bar has recently come up with some mouth watering additions to their menu. Speaking of the menu, one must be taken aback by the detailed information it provides to guests about the drinks, food, the history of the place and even the glassware!
Their welcome drink, Orange Mimosa – a combination of sparkling wine, cointreau and orange juice – is very refreshing and light; and a few sips would help you to loosen up for a leisurely evening. The following drink one must try is the Rosemary Smoked Szechwan Martini, a vodka based cocktail, for it tastes yum, smells yum, and you couldn't help but ask for more! For those in love with peanut butter, the Peanut Butter and Jelly Cocktail consisting of white rum and strawberry jam will definitely make you say 'Mmm…' Another outstanding drink for patrons is Happily Ever After, and it lives up to its name as it comes in a champagne glass adorned with grapes on top. For those not fond of cocktails, the same drinks are available in non-alcoholic forms.
To make sure you do not get drunk with all the tempting and sparkling drinks you have been having, munch onto some bite sized snacks. Currently, they are running a food festival Tapas & Wine, wherein one can experience both vegetarian and non-vegetarian Spanish flavours sitting right in the middle of Delhi. Tapas, which originated in Spain has evolved to be a sophisticated cuisine; one can order many different tapas and combine them to form a complete meal.
A stand out from the evening starters is the Mushroom Garlic Parsley; the supple and meaty mushrooms enhanced by parsley and garlic gives one an European experience immediately upon taking a mouthful.
Salmon lovers will definitely be fond of the Smoked salmon crostini, with some wine. Their Non-veg Mezze platter, a Mediterranean dish, not only looks stunning, but has a plethora of flavours packed into that one large plateful of salad, meat, pita bread and two mouth-watering dips! It comes in a vegetarian variety as well.
The Empanandas at the Lounge AND Bar, would at once remind you of 'gujiya' for its appearance, but this one's a delicious savoury snack accompanied with a summer salad.
Golden Fried Kalamari with Wasabi Mayo, is a lip smacking squid snack that'll make you go gaga over the crisps which taste extremely refreshing with the wasabi dip. The Lamb ball albondigas are a winning score for red-meat lovers, as the flavourful meat well soaked in gravy break away in your mouth releasing oodles of tastes.
Gambas Pil Pil, a Spanish prawn snack, is actually a popular tapas of prawns served in a hot sizzling sauce of garlic, chilli and olive oil. Needless to say, it tastes as good as it looks.
The fest is on till the very end of September, so if you have plans of enjoying an undisturbed sophisticated evening with your friends over a few drinks and snacks, this is the place to be.
