India gets an International title
Sushmita Singh becomes the first Asian and Indian conquerer of Miss Teen World (Mundial) Crown;
On a fantastic show at El Salvador recently, Sushmita Singh from India won the title of Miss Teen World (Mundial) 2019 by Francisco Cortez.
The Dominican Republic and Panama were awarded the runner-up titles respectively. Singh was crowned by outgoing queen Angivette Toribio, Miss Teen Mundial 2018 from the Dominican Republic.
Sushmita, the 18-year-old mass media student is a painter, sportswoman, orator touched hearts of the audience when she responded on how she intends to serve the world if she won. "I was told I am not beautiful, but I worked hard and stood up for myself, and here I am. I want to serve as an inspiration to all girls to dare to live their dreams," she said. She now wears a crown that is inspired by the crown of King Enrique IV of England and will serve her commitment to the world.
To participate in this International event, Sushmita was crowned by Jasmeet Kaur, the 2019 National Director, in a contest at Noida. "I am extremely proud of Sushmita as she has brought this victory for India. She is a well cultured and very hardworking girl, and I hope to encourage more such girls in the future" said Jasmeet.
Sristhi Kaur, daughter of Jasmeet and Teen Universe 2017 said "I was very excited about Sushmita's participation in one of the biggest contests in the world."
