Human mind is designed in such a way that it is essential for it to take rest. It cannot perform tasks continuously without having a break. However, in today's world, it has become a necessity for human brain to act as a machine in order to become an efficient resource. But, exhausting the natural stamina and capacity of mental and physical means of human body could also be worth risk taking. Exertion to our body can cause some major chronic health problems like depression, obesity, blood pressure problems etc which could be long lasting. Thus, it becomes necessary for us to take sufficient diet and rest. Besides that, it is also necessary for us to relax our body, mind and soul. 

Practicing yoga could actually be beneficial for both mind and body as it maintains the balance between our health and efficiency. Yoga is like meditation which clears our mind and gives us peace from our incessant hectic schedule so that we can perform our tasks more efficiently.

Yoga can be most beneficial in corporate world and government activities where work load on employees is beyond human capacity sometimes.  Employees must be motivated to take care of their health between their work hours and perform some recreational activities like yoga to build their mental balance with work. Parallel to this concern, and ahead of the 3rd International Yoga Day, Heads of Missions of Latin American countries in India participated in yoga sessions on June 6 and 8, led by Pramod Kumar Pathak, Joint Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, 
Government of India and P S Anand, Vice President, India Latin America Friendship Association.

The yoga course was organized by the Group of Latin American Embassies in India (GRULAC), and saw enthusiastic participation by Heads of Missions of various countries of the region, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Guyana, Mexico, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, Uruguay and Venezuela. Conscious of the benefits that yoga provides, the Latin American dignitaries recognized yoga as a valuable discipline that has taken root in their own countries and has sponsored the name of India worldwide.
