Music and dance lovers of Delhi are in for 'sheer 'edge of the seat experiences' as Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts gears up for Connections 2019, a unique international boutique performing arts festival on April 12, 13 and 14, thereby bringing in outstanding artists and their never-before seen award winning performances from China and France to Delhi.
Connections is an annual International performing arts festival. This boutique festival has been bringing outstanding artists and performances from around the world to Delhi since 2014. It is the brain child of widely acclaimed choreographer and dancer Rukmini Chatterjee who is instrumental in bringing these exceptional performances to Delhi. Her determination, dynamism and exceptional talent has resulted in bringing the Beijing Dance Academy, one of the premier dance institutes of the world, to India for the first time. They are known to give audiences 'edge of the seat' experiences through there dazzling and magical choreography's. The aesthetics come from there martial arts, acrobatics, ancient poetry, painting and drama. Some of the dances have been created by the choreographer of the Beijing Olympics opening ceremony. The other performers at the festival are the Remi Panossian Jazz Trio from France.
What is unique about the festival is that, most of these exceptional works have never been seen in India before, thus connecting Delhi audiences to new forms of creativity. Dancers from the Opera of Paris, Contemporary Circus, Norwegian pop /rock music, Contemporary Flamenco have all been greatly appreciated by the all in the past.
