To mark the 125th birth anniversary of Late Purna Chandra Chandra – founding father of PC Chandra group, and pay ode to eminent actor Soumitra Chattopadhyay, PC Chandra group organised a book launch in Kolkata. Titled 'Chobi o Chaya', the book is a collection of Chattopadhyay's paintings.
Soumitra Chattopadhyay was honoured ahead of his 85th birthday, commemorating the completion of six decades of his work life.
The event was graced by Managing Director of PC Chandra Group AK Chandra, Veteran actor Madhabi Mukherjee, Film critic, Samik Bandopadhyay, Film Director, Atanu Ghosh, and Theatre personality Sohini Sengupta, who also shared their experience of working with the legend. 'Chobi o Chaya' is a way to celebrate Soumitra Chattopadhyay – the painter.
In the book, he has written the annotations for each painting, enhancing the expressions behind each creation. From being Apu, Amal, Ashim to Feluda and King Lear, six decades of his excellent journey has been enchanting in movies, theatre, elocution, music, painting, and writing.

The year-long birth anniversary celebration will witness various activities, paying tribute to great personalities.
