The FBI is set to question Hillary Clinton over the use of a private email server during her tenure as the US Secretary of State. The FBI and Justice Department are investigating if there was any violation of rules or compromising of any sensitive information through the use of the email.
The Democratic presidential front-runner will be interviewed by the FBI within the coming weeks. The agency also questioned one of her close confidant Huma Abedin.
The Clinton campaign has said that it's confident that the FBI's review “will conclude that nothing inappropriate took place”. Clinton, 68, has already admitted that the use of a personal email server was a mistake. She also insisted that no classified information was compromised.
Clinton's use of a private server for both official and private correspondence first came to light in 2015 during Republican-led congressional investigations into her handling of a militant attack on the US mission in Libya.
