Exploring art beyond boundaries

Niv art centre along with Lalit Kala Academy is jointly organizing a month long exhibition of to showcase art works of artists from various parts of the world well known international and Indian artists titled “Art Beyond Boundaries” which has started from  August 20 in the national Capital.

Prior to this exhibition an international residency programme had been organised which started on July 16. The invited artists got exposed to various stimuli while exploring Delhi’s landscape, people and also the weather. They engaged in dialogues with each other, sharing information, experiences, history and culture through various talks presented by eminent art personalities.

“The concept and objective of the project “Art Beyond Boundaries” is to merely act as a catalyst. To start a creative process by bringing together an eclectic group International and Indian artists with distinctive art practices, under the same roof” said Lubna Sen curator.

“The participating artists include Alonso Gill from Seville, Spain; Cameron Black from Norwich, UK; Emanuela Barilozzi Caruso from Rome, Italy; Sirish Reddy from Vishakhapatnam; Premdeep Khere (Mana) from Baroda, Vishal Joshi from Mumbai. These interdisciplinary practitioners will exhibit works ranging from drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, videography and installations.” said the curator.
