Beginning his career with theatre, moving to television and then stepping in the film industry – life has been a roller coaster ride for Shreyas Talpade. The actor is currently seen in a television series named 'My Name Ijj Lakhan'.
Talking about his experience of working in the series, Shreyas said: I have been waiting to take good roles whether it is for television or big screen. And, I am happy that I got a chance to work in a television series again, that too for a channel like Sony Sab."
The series will have a total of 26 episodes, as told by the makers. Shreyas plays the character of 'Lakhan' – protagonist in the series – who is a little boisterous but a a person with a kind and golden heart.
Revealing about the character he is playing in the series, and the preparations he underwent, Shreyas said that he sat with his team to discuss the role. Therefore, the major concern for him and the production team was to strike the right balance of good and evil throughout his performance.
The actor believes that more than the platform, it's the script and his role that matters to him.
So, if given a chance on any OTT platform, he would love to explore that side of the entertainment industry too.
"On such platforms, I believe there is an added freedom that filmmakers and storytellers get to tell different stories. There is a niche audience for the web and one can keep making content for that particular audience in the way they wish to."
The 43-year-old actor, who has always been seen in comic roles, is also gearing up to venture in the thriller space with the film Setters – based on employment and education mafia. Also, he will treat his fans with a light-hearted flick titled Teen Do Paanch.
