Mystery shrouds the death of a 20-year-old engineering student, who was found hanging in her room at a private hostel in Greater Noida. The family members of the girl have alleged that one of her friends was responsible for forcing her to take the extreme step and have demanded penal action against him. The police, however, have detained the victim’s friend for questioning but have not revealed the details yet.
Narendra Gupta, Rajshree’s father, has suspected foul play in this case and have demanded proper inquiry also. He has blamed Rajshree’s classmate Raghav for his daughter’s death.
“Although my daughter had never complained about any kind of distress or panic, it has been revealed that Raghav was disturbing Rajshree.
As per discussion with her other friends, I am sure that Raghav’s misconduct has forced my daughter to kill herself. I demand his arrest and want an inquiry so that truth comes to the forefront,” said Narendra.
Meanwhile, the police claimed that they have registered a case of suicide but are waiting for postmortem examination. The cops have also been scanning call details of her phone and are searching her room for any lead. Raghav has been taken in to preventive custody as part of the ongoing investigation process.
“We have questioned the suspect and investigation is being done from all angles. If role of the boy is revealed, we will arrest him and will initiate penal action too,” said Harendra Singh, Deputy SP of Greater Noida,
It may be noted that Rajshree, a B.Tech student in a private engineering college in Greater Noida’s Pi Sector reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan in her hostel on Saturday evening. She was taken to Kailash Hospital where she was declared brought dead.
Rajshree, a native of Varanasi, lived in the private Siddhi Vinayak hostel which is not on the university premises.
