Eight customs officials were booked on the charge of assaulting a passenger at the Rajiv Gandhi international airport (RGIA) here, police said on Sunday.
‘A case was registered against eight customs officials under sections 323 (assault) and 379 (theft) of IPC yesterday after a passenger, P Narasaiah, accused unnamed customs officials of manhandling him at the airport and losing his gold chain during the scuffle,’ assistant commissioner of police Ch Srinivas Rao said.
