Ahmed Aba Ya Zeed, a university student, has won a trip to India, thanks to a poster competition organised in Cairo. Prizes have been distributed to the winners and participants of the poster competition themed ‘Did you sense the spirit of Gandhi in Tahrir Square?’ organised jointly by the embassy of India in Cairo and the Artistic Creativity Centre. The competition was aimed at capturing the essence of Gandhi’s message in the iconic Tahrir Square that witnessed a peaceful revolution on 25 January 2011. Ahmed Aba Ya Zeed, the winner of the special grand prize, said he is excited about his trip to India, said a press release. The other winners in the competition include Amre Sha’lan (first prize winner), Youssef Da’moum (second prize winner) and Rehab Ahmed Gouda (third prize winner).
