Delhi University Teachers’ Association (DUTA) will go to polls on 29 August. Around 10,000 Delhi University teachers are expected to participate in the election process.
Academics for Action and Development (AAD) member SS Rathi said that the association appeals all teachers to exercise their right to vote fearlessly.

‘It is learnt that some members of the university administration are trying to influence the ad hoc teachers to vote in favour of a candidate,’ he said.
Another AAD member J Khuntia appealed to the university authorities to remain impartial and cooperate in the election process ‘as it has been doing the past’.
