The SP Jain Center in Delhi University’s South Campus saw a gathering of worried students and parents on Thursday, as approximately 700 Delhi University aspirants and their guardians attended the seventh day of the university’s open house session, organised by the university to clear doubts about the four-year undergraduate programme to be started from this academic year. This was the first open house at the South Campus.
Students actively participated in the discussions regarding the admission process and availability of OMR forms in the different centers of DU. The open house session was addressed by Suchitra Gupta, deputy dean of Students welfare, Gulshan Sahni and Dinesh C Varshney, director , South Campus, Students Welfare.
'Those seeking admission to the new FYUP can also visit the website and study the guidelines on DU website said Varshney.
He also encouraged students to pursue inter-disciplinary courses. While answering the queries of worried parents and students, Gupta said, 'Candidates who wish to be considered for admission to various under-graduate courses in different colleges of the university, for which there is no entrance exam are required to register either online or register offline by completing OMR forms and to be submitted at the various admission centers in Delhi'.
She said that there will be no registration form at the college level (online or offline)'.
The students and their parents can approach the office of Students' Welfare in case of any queries or doubts. Questions related to entrance examinations, admission forms and interviews were raised.
