Delhi University has invited online applications for various posts across departments, on Wednesday. Varsity has invited 360 applications for the post of assistant professors, 206 posts of associate professors and 99 posts of professors across 40 departments/centres.
According to the Alka Sharma, DU registrar, ‘The unique feature of this job portal and its online application are the built-in engines for calculation of points for screening in the case assistant professors and calculation of academic performance indicator (API) score, with respect to appointing associate professors and professors. The applicants have to fill in details of their academic qualifications, experience and research, as required in the form and the built-in engine allocates the points/score as per UGC guidelines.’
According to varsity, ‘This online application is environment friendly and will also minimise the time taken for the screening of candidates to be called for the interview.’
