Drug dealer held

A 25-year old man was arrested on Thursday for trying to smuggle narcotics worth Rs seven lakh at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

Lal Ruatlian, a resident of Churachandpur district in Manipur, was intercepted by a CISF check squad after he was found moving suspiciously at the Terminal-1D of the domestic airport.

‘Ruatlian was detected in the morning, when he arrived at the terminal. He was taken for a detailed frisking, which led to recovery of 9 kg tablets of Pseudoephedrine,’ CISF spokesperson Hemendra Singh said.
