Trai’s penalty may be announced soon, by Friday if sources are to be believed, and will be applicable nationally and across all operators. Top sources in the government said that a serious view has been <g data-gr-id="10">taken of</g> the menace - which had only been growing - and thus the measure has been taken. The call drop issue has been flagged off by the top echelons of the government which include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, finance minister Arun Jaitley and telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad.
