In two separate incidents in south Delhi, two men were reportedly murdered by their friends on Monday night.

In the first incident, Uaman Khan, 55, who worked in a sweet shop was beaten to death by his friend Suresh after an argument over a trivial issue in south Delhi’s Mehrauli area.

Police arrested Suresh from Khan’s house, where they had consumed alcohol. On Monday, at around 11.45 pm, the landlady of Khan’s house found her tenants body and made a call to the police control room.

A police team reached the spot and rushed him to the AIIMS Trauma centre where he was declared dead. ‘Khan received multiple injuries on his head which indicates he was attacked with some blunt object. There was no specific motive behind murder. After consuming alcohol, the duo entered into an argument and Suresh attacked his friend when it turned violent,’ a police official said quoting the accused’s confession.

The second incident was reported from southeast Delhi’s Kalkaji area where Rajinder, 22, was stabbed by his friend near his home.

However, the police have not yet revealed the identity of the assailant for the purpose of investigation. A police officer said the accused has been identified and will be arrested soon.

There were at least 12 stab wounds on Rajinder’s body. However, the reason behind the attack is yet to be ascertained.
