DMRC launches first-ever RO plant at Kashmere Gate

“The RO water purifiers at this plant have a capacity of 500 LPH (litre per hour) and installation of the same has been done to provide potable drinking water to the passengers using Kashmere Gate Metro station.

 A glass of cold RO water (200 ml) will be available at a very nominal cost of Rupee one from this ATW plant. The day-to-day operations of the RO plant will be managed by the women of a Self Help Group (SHG).

As part of the MoU between DMRC and Tata Power-DDL, the TP-DDL will install such RO Plants at four more Delhi Metro stations (Vishwavidyalaya, GTB Nagar, Jahangirpuri and Rithala) during the current summer season,” said DMRC.

The RO plant was inaugurated by Praveer Sinha, CEO and MD, Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited and Sharat Sharma, Director (Operations), Delhi Metro Rail Corporations Limited in the presence of senior officials from both the organisations.
