DMRC hosts street plays to spread awareness

Update: 2015-12-15 00:42 GMT
The DMRC is organising a series of street plays (nukkad nataks) at all its major construction sites from Monday onwards to spread awareness about the preservation of the environment among workers and officials. In one of its biggest ‘nukkad natak’ campaigns, DMRC will cover 84 construction sites across the National Capital Region from Monday (December 14) to next Tuesday (December 22).

Approximately, 10,000 workers are expected to be present throughout the duration of this awareness programme. “Three specialised agencies have been roped in to perform the plays. The main messages to be conveyed through the plays will focus on issues such as keeping the sites and its neighbouring areas clean and dust-free, conducting plantation drives for greenery at the sites, cleaning of tyres of vehicles leaving the sites and preservation of existing green cover at the sites,” said DMRC in a statement.
