Upset with boyfriend, woman jumps to death in mall

Noida: A 25-year-old woman reportedly jumped to death from the third floor of the Great India Palace (GIP) mall in sector 38-A of Noida on Saturday afternoon.

Police said that the girl left behind a purported suicide note, wherein she claimed to be upset over her boyfriend being in a relationship with another girl and ignoring her constantly.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as Shivangi, a native of Kasganj district of Uttar Pradesh, and lived alone at a rented apartment in Barola village under Sector-49 of Noida. She was spotted in a pool of blood in the courtyard on ground floor and was rushed to a nearby private hospital, where she succumbed.

According to the mall employees, the incident occurred around 3 pm. when Shivangi was spotted talking on the phone and sitting alone outside a store for over an hour before she decided to jump.

People gathered around the area the immediately and informed police. The victim was also carried on a stretcher by mall employees and security guards and was rushed to Kailash hospital where doctors declared her brought dead.

According to a senior doctor of kailash hospital, the girl stopped responding to treatment and had suffered grievous head injuries. She died of excessive bleeding.
