Union Minister Puri inaugurates DDA's multi-purpose cummunity hall in Rohini

New Delhi: Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State, Housing and Urban affairs inaugurated Delhi Development Authority's (DDA) multipurpose Community Hall at Sector-13, Rohini and laid the foundation stone for construction of multipurpose Community Hall at Sector-8, Rohini. The multipurpose Community Hall is fully airconditioned, four-storeyed, Library, Senior Citizen Room, multipurpose halls, lobby cum foyers, gym, function hall, parking, reading room.

Speaking on the occasion, Minister said that they have laid the foundation stone of Mahipalpur Underpass in January 2018 and it was inaugurated on 28th February,2019, one month before the projected date of completion. Minister also announced the following new projects — Construction of Socio Cultural Centre at Sector-12, Rohini (area 44000 sqm, 127 FAR, cost Rs 250 crore) which will be on PPP mode and will be completed in next three-and-a-half years, In-situ rehabilitation of JJ clusters at Sector-18 and; 19, Rohini, Land Pooling Policy for nearly Rs 17 Lakh housing made operational, Regional Rapid Transport System from Delhi to Meerut of 88 km for which travel time will be only 45 minutes, Regularisation of unauthorised colonies though Delhi Govt. has not send them mapping of these colonies for the last two years. Minister also said that they have reduced the conversion charges for mixed-use from Rs 89,000 to Rs 22,000 and penalty of 10 per cent on misuse reduced to 0.5 per cent.

Vijender Gupta, Member Delhi Development Authority, also said that earlier rehabilitation of Sec-9 and 13, Rohini JJ Clusters was made successful due to his efforts and now the residents of Rohini Constituency demanding in-situ rehabilitation of Sector-18 amp; 19 Rohini JJ Clusters for which minister has agreed. After all these developments, Rohini will become a number one area of Delhi.
