Two new cases in Gurugram, total 6

Gurugram: Two new cases of COVID-19 suspects testing positive was reported from Gurugram on Saturday taking the total number of cases to six.

Out of these two cases, one case was of a lady doctor who was entrusted with the responsibility of taking care of the suspected patients in Government Hospital in Sector-10. The reports of her being positive with the virus was received from PGIMS Rohtak on Saturday morning. The doctor was immediately admitted to the private super speciality hospital for treatment.

The samples of the doctor's husband and their 8-month-old child have been sent for testing. The samples of doctors and nurses who were working with the lady doctor have also been sent for testing.

However, the good news is that the samples of two other doctors that were collected were sent for testing have come out negative. In addition to this samples of 11 people who had recently visited foreign countries have also been sent for testing. Taking cognisance of the rising number of cases in Haryana, the state Chief Minister came out twice in a day to address his people.

"I want to tell you that this is not the time to panic but instead be steadfast and tackle the challenge head-on. We have the example of China with us who with their strict discipline and guidelines have been able to curtail this virus. I also want to assure you that at any point the government is going to make sure that there is no shortage of essential items and food inventory," said the Chief Minister.

As a precautionary measure against Coronavirus, the District Magistrate has now directed that all corporate establishments and factories be completely shut down until March 31, except those providing essential services.

Keeping the current situation, all forms of leaves of the Gurugram Police personnel have also been cancelled.
