Noida: Noida police have worked out Rs 6 lakh 56 thousand cash in robbery incident with the employees of a gas agency and arrested three persons in connection with the matter. Police officials said that one of the employees of the gas agency was involved in the robbery incident that took place earlier on 19th February in sector 24 police station area of Noida.
According to police, the arrested accused have been identified as Ashish Verma, Bhoora Yadav, residents of Ghari Chowkhandi village in Noida and Chahat Upadhyay, resident of village Gijhore in Noida.
Police officials said that two more accused in the case, Pramod, a native of Bulandshahr district and Yakesh, native of Aligarh district are still at large.
Vaibhav Krishna, Senior Superintendent of police said that the information of cash being carried to deposit in bank from Chitra Gas agency in sector 54 was passed on by Ashish Verma, who worked as a helper at the agency.
"During sustained interrogations, it came to light that accused Ashish, an employee with Chitra gas agency, passed on the information to one of his accomplices Bhoora Yadav who plotted the robbery incident and involved three more persons. A total of four persons committed the robbery incident and looted cash worth Rs 6 lakhs 56 thousand from the gas agency employees from near a petrol pump in sector 54 while they were going to deposit the cash in bank," said Krishna.
The officer further said that the robbers flee from the spot after committing robbery.
"While committing the robbery, Chahat and Yakesh travelled on a motorcycle and robbed the gas agency employees on gunpoint while two other accused Bhoora and Pramod were in car to gave them a back up. The robbers then flee towards village Gijhore after committing the robbery," added Krishna. Police have recovered Rs 2 lakh 60 thousand cash, two country made pistols along with live ammunition and the motorcycle used in the robbery incident from the possession of accused persons.
