Last Thursday, the victim noticed the lock broken and from her house a person whom she had never seen came out telling her that "Madam is not here, please come after one hour".
One of the investigators told Millennium Post that the accused was unaware that the woman was the owner of the house.
"Without wasting any time, I alerted neighbours and the door was closed from outside. A PCR call was made and the accused was nabbed," said the woman in her complaint, adding that she found the household items scattered all over.
Police further claimed that the accused in the police station threatened the woman that when he comes out of the jail, he will commit a theft at her house and after which he will burn the house. The police have registered a case under appropriate sections of Indian Penal Code.
