New Delhi: Delhi Development Authority (DDA) on Friday said the demand survey of 32 JJ cluster colonies has been completed by a privately hired compnay. The work is being done under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMYS Urban) on DDA and Central government's land in Delhi. "In order to achieve the objectives of PMAY (U) in Delhi, the demand survey of 32 JJ clusters namely Kalender Colony, Khadda Basti, Harijan Basti, JJ Bandhu camp, etc. has already been competed by DDA hired private agency i.e. Society for Promotion of Youth and Masses (SPYM)," said a statemeny by DDA.
A total of 376 JJ clusters exist on both DDA and Central government's land spread across the entire city, comprising of about 1.73 lakh households, which covers an area of about 40 lakh Sqm. "For other 160 JJ clusters on DDA's lands in various parts of Delhi comprising about 85,000 households, the work order has been issued," said DDA.
The Delhi authority has claimed that the survey work shall be completed in a time-bound manner.
