New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister Atishi inaugurated a new, state-of-the-art government school in Prem Nagar, Kirari Assembly Constituency, as part of Delhi’s ongoing education revolution. The newly constructed school boasts 72 rooms, including 37 classrooms, 8 high-tech labs, a library, lifts, and various other modern facilities.
AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal took to his social media handle, ‘X, and emphasized the step writing, “Our mission to take education to new heights in Delhi continues. Today, another wonderful government school started in Kirari. These magnificent buildings of Delhi Government schools, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, embody the dreams of our children of Delhi, where every child will study, grow, and shine.”
CM Atishi highlighted the remarkable transformation in the area, once considered underdeveloped. “Ten years ago, Kirari lacked basic amenities like roads, sewage, and schools. Today, as we inaugurate this magnificent new government school, it is evident that this area has moved beyond the era of backwardness,” she said. The new school, she noted, “is better than any private school in this area.”
Reflecting on the broader changes in Delhi’s education system, Atishi remarked, “In 2015, Arvind Kejriwal took an oath that every child in Delhi would receive excellent education. Today, Delhi is the only state in the country where government schools outperform private schools. More than 2,000 students from Delhi government schools passed JEE and NEET exams last year, entering prestigious institutions.”
She also praised the transformation of Delhi’s government schools, saying, “Earlier, government schools were plagued with poor infrastructure and lack of facilities.
“Today, the classrooms are equipped with proper seating, labs, and libraries. Our teachers are trained internationally, and the results speak for themselves.”
CM Atishi appealed to the people, urging them to re-elect a government that remains committed to their children’s future, “We must think about our children’s future and elect a new government to ensure they receive the same excellent opportunities for the next five years.”
The new school in Kirari is set to serve 3,000-3,500 students, demonstrating the government’s commitment to providing world-class education across Delhi.
