Showers cool city

Delhiites woke up to a cool morning after showers overnight brought down the minimum temperature to 20.1 degrees Celsius.

The city received 24.6 MM rainfall in the last 24 hours, said a MeT department official.

Palam station recorded 14.2 mm, Ridge 0.8 and Ayanagar 76.0 mm rain. Safdarjung station recorded 24.6 mm rain, said the official.

The weather office has forceast partly cloudy sky with possibility of light rain or thundershowers later.

The maximum temperature is expected to hover around 35 degrees Celsius.

Yesterday, the maximum temperature settled at 36.3 degree Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 21.8 degrees Celsius.
