SDMC inaugurates 3-day science fair and teachers prize distribution function

New Delhi: South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Wednesday inaugurated three days science fair and teachers prize distribution function in its West Zone.All four zones of SDMC organises the fair and function every year to distribute the prize to the selected principals, teachers and other supporting staff of the schools for their excellent and brilliant contribution in the field of education .

SDMC Mayor Narendra Chawla while inaugurating the function at B-1 Janak puri school in West zone stated that science fairs are very helpful in developing scientific mind, vision and IQ in the children.

He further said that the idea behind starting of one English medium sections each in nursery and first class in SDMC schools is comprehensive development of students.

Our efforts are to provide all necessary and important facilities to the students so that they can compete with the private school students.

In this fair, 150 schools are participating and students exhibiting models on science, technology, social science and on various government sponsored programmes.

Here students are exhibiting excellent models in handicraft, incredible India, digital India and Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.

Teachers and students of various schools are taking part in a large numbers and praising the programme.
